The mansion is a three-story Tudor revival-style house that has 24,000 square feet of living space.

In 1966, the Manoogian family donated the mansion to the city of Detroit to serve as the residence of the mayor. Since then, it has been the official residence of the mayors of Detroit. The mansion features luxurious living spaces, a grand ballroom, a library, and a formal dining room. The property also includes a carriage house, a pool, a tennis court, and a beautiful garden.
